The Yorkshire Wolds And Coast Wildlife Tours 2017

We are very proud to be once again linking up with YORKSHIRE COAST NATURE to be the base for their 2017 amazing residential wildlife and photography safaris. The tours are designed specifically for guests wishing to see and experience memorable wildlife surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Based at Highfield Farm, these 3-day tours focus on the wonderful diversity of bird species and wildlife in our area.  The tours, led by a local wildlife expert RICHARD BAINES and international award winning photographer STEVE RACE, "will be in a small group environment to ensure pressure is not put on the wildlife and give everyone in our group the best chance to share the experience.  With changes of location and season, new and unexpected nature encounters happen every day" says Steve.

Richard Baines from Yorkshire Coast Nature says: “Over 100 species of bird are possible. We are ideally placed close to the River Hull and visits to Top Hill Low nature reserve can yield plentiful freshwater waders and wildfowl, including Green and Wood Sandpipers, large numbers of Wigeon and Shoveler and resident birds such as Barn Owl in one of the best areas of the UK for owls. On last year’s tour, we spent a day at Spurn National Nature Reserve. This was a huge success with rare waders such as Great Snipe, migrants such as Barred Warbler and a beautiful Snow Bunting all showing very well”.
